This stunning Bel Air estate, designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, was transformed to meet the client’s vision of preserving its classic charm while adding modern features. The 50-year-old pool was renovated and modified to create a shallower depth with multiple benches, allowing for a more comfortable and family-friendly swimming experience. The new dimensions also accommodate large swim functions with ease. Surrounding driveways, walkways, patios, and a tropical wood pool deck were updated using white stucco, red clay roofs, natural stone, and wood motifs to complement the home’s renovation.

Modern Spa with Horizon Views and Easy Automation

To take advantage of the estate’s spectacular views, the client requested a separate, modern spa built 10 feet away from the pool along the slope’s edge. Supported by a 40-foot caisson drilled into the bedrock, the spa features a vanishing edge that blends seamlessly with the horizon. Underwater speakers and color-changing lights enhance the ambiance for evening swims. For added convenience, the entire system includes automation for easy operation, allowing seamless control over the pool, spa, and lighting with the touch of a button.

Elegant Water Features and Serene Surroundings

A 4-foot curved water wall with lighted bubblers acts as a stunning focal point while serving as a retaining wall for the upper patio, where the pool guest house and fire pit area create inviting spaces for entertaining. The multi-level pool deck offers breathtaking views of sunsets reflecting across the water, while the guest house bathroom hall, complete with an outdoor shower and restrooms, adds convenience for guests. Multiple stone fountains placed throughout the property provide soothing water sounds, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere.
